Digital footprint!

A positive digital footprint is all about what others see you as if they search you on the Internet. Having a positive digital footprint is important because possible future employers might look you up on the Internet before they hire you. If they see pictures of you drinking underage, or doing anything else illegal, the chances are you aren't getting hired.

I don't think that it matters if you use your real picture on websites and blogs as long as it is appropriate. I also think that people should use their real names only on certain sites. Usually, people only need their first names, unless they are older and are on a professional site.

I think our parents are responsible for teaching us how to be internet savvy. Also, if our teachers are letting us use the internet for blogging and emailing they should make sure we know what to do and how to be safe online.

When registering on a website, somebody should only include basic information. On most sites there is no need whatsoever for an address, phone number, or last name.

Online I can be found here on Blogger and also on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Yahoo, AIM, and Epals.
