But since March of 2010, I've written ten blogs. None of my posts have more than one or two comments, and I don't think that is very good. There wasn't really any post that got a lot of comments. Like I said, the most comments on one post were probably one or two comments. Most of the comments were from classmates or my teacher. I don't remember getting any comments from overseas. Mainly all of my blog is based on school assignments for class. I hardly ever, if not never, use it for personal writing. I enjoyed writing about where I wanted to travel because I got to think about everywhere in the world that i wanted to go and find out really cool things about it. My blog doesn't really have a theme, unless the theme is class assignments. Over the year I have not changed that at all though. I only have six widgets on my blog. I don't think that is nearly enough. I want more so that my blog stands out, but I don't want so many that it looks too cluttered. Even though school is pretty much over and the blogging challenges are over, I might start to use my blog during the summer for personal use.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-41159886891342108662010-06-01T09:27:00.000-07:002010-06-01T09:28:21.139-07:00Identical
Ellen Hopkins
ISBN: 1416950052
Cost: $17.99 Hardcover, $7.41 Paperback

Kaeleigh and Raeanne are identical twins, yet completely different. Daughters of a judge and Congress candidate, everything seems perfect and happy. On the inside, both are struggling for attention and answers that they so desperately need. Raeanne turns to drugs and sex for a substitute of the love her father doesn’t show her, while Kaeleigh just wants to be noticed by her mother who is never home. Even their dad, feeling lonely and rejected by his wife, seeks attention for Kaeleigh instead. Damaging secrets lie within the Gardella household, along with jealousy, rivalry, and possibly even sympathy. As these secrets are revealed, Kaeleigh and Raeanne need each other to get through it, and end up helping each other without even realizing it.
“I wish I could help Kaeleigh work her way past all the major crap so she could accept the good things waiting for her, almost within reach.”
“Love, I know, isn’t something to second-guess, but in my world love is always defined by ulterior motive. I think that if some people want a creative commons license then they should get it so that nobody can use their work without either giving them credit for it or paying them. I'm not sure what my audience of this blog is, but I'm sure that it's mostly students and maybe a couple of teachers.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-70180054359885743702010-04-06T09:00:00.000-07:002010-04-06T09:14:33.328-07:00NATURE(: This is a picture of some lovely benches surrounded by nature.

This is a picture of one single leaf surrounded by grass.

This is a picture of the beautiful sun.

Here are some lovely trees in the park.

This is a picture of a close up on a tree.

I hope you enjoy these wonderful representations of nature. First everyone was assigned characters to create out of clay. Once that was finished, we started writing the script and working on the actual video. Everyone was assigned a job for the video. My role in the video was to be one of the benders of the clay people. I think i was pretty successful with this role, since it was one of the easiest. Teamwork was really important in making this project. I've learned that with teamwork, if one person doesn't cooperate then the whole project gets harder than it should be. In my opinion, I would gladly do these kind of projects instead of taking tests. I like projects because they're more hands on and not so boring. If we could do this project over differently, I think that we should take our time and not be rushed. Maybe we should take more pictures to explain what's going on a little better. But overall I think the project turned out quite well.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-65470288646317979622010-03-15T11:31:00.000-07:002010-03-15T11:39:39.134-07:00blogging challenge #3
If someone came to Wisconsin, I think that they would have to go to Wisconsin Dells for sure. I think that my writing has improved greatly. The only thing i have a problem with is that I would just like to write and not have to have certain things in my writing. My writing is pretty decent to me, but I'm sure it isn't the greatest. I think with writing I'm good with imagery because it's easy to explain details for me. One thing that I think I struggle with writing is probably punctuation.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-63222769047321130722010-02-22T09:02:00.001-08:002010-02-22T09:09:56.107-08:00high schoolThe biggest hurdle that I encounter with learning at school is that I am distracted by others easily and I don't like doing the homework. We've only been friends for like a year, but a lot has happened in that year. I can't wait until tomorrow because she is going to come over and watch Dane Cook Vicious Circle at my house. We love Dane Cook and quote him at least once a day. But anyways, I love Caitlin and that's why she is on my mind. :)mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-74687926254719195082010-01-07T09:23:00.001-08:002010-01-07T09:27:36.810-08:00Goals for the Semester. My goal for the end of the semester is to have at least a 2.5 GPA. I need a 2.5 because in the summer I want to go to UW Oshkosh for a college preview type thing. I've had a rough semester but it is getting better. I think that next semester will be a lot better. next semester I want to do better and get all my homework in on time.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-87464003949930976002010-01-04T09:26:00.000-08:002010-01-04T09:31:12.821-08:00My Christmas VacationMy vacation was pretty decent. Last week on Wednesday i went with my boyfriend to see him get his tattoo done. When we got there we had to wait like an hour until he actually got in the chair. Then it took about another hour for him to get it done. It looks pretty good though. On New Year's Eve i went with my boyfriend to his grandparents house and i got to meet his family. It was weird at first but it was really fun.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-24390426833697307252009-12-16T09:26:00.000-08:002009-12-17T09:11:17.945-08:00Collage of everest.

I made a collage to represent the tone of the essay we read, Everest.

The pictures in the collage represent success, perserverance, and accomplishment, which i think were some of the tones in the story. All spiders creep me out. Tarantulas give some people the creeps because of their large, hairy bodies and legs. The South American bird-eating spider, as it name suggests, is even able to prey upon small birds. Wasps also creep me out. Such a wasp will paralyze a tarantula with its sting and lay its eggs on the spider's body.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-4778398270459305262009-12-04T09:09:00.000-08:002009-12-04T09:14:49.208-08:00Erik Weihenmayer is an inspiration.I think that Erik Weihenmayer is an inspiration. I think this because he is the first blind man that climbed Mount Everest. Although people think that it shouldn't matter whether he was blind or not, it does matter. He showed the world that you can do anything you want as long as you have the courage and perserverance. I'm sure he was scared at first but he stuck through it to prove to people that he could. This is what makes him an inspiration.
mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-35225593188880692012009-11-02T08:59:00.000-08:002009-11-02T09:20:52.268-08:00Digital footprint!A positive digital footprint is all about what others see you as if they search you on the Internet. Having a positive digital footprint is important because possible future employers might look you up on the Internet before they hire you. If they see pictures of you drinking underage, or doing anything else illegal, the chances are you aren't getting hired.

I don't think that it matters if you use your real picture on websites and blogs as long as it is appropriate. I also think that people should use their real names only on certain sites. Usually, people only need their first names, unless they are older and are on a professional site.

I think our parents are responsible for teaching us how to be internet savvy. Also, if our teachers are letting us use the internet for blogging and emailing they should make sure we know what to do and how to be safe online.

When registering on a website, somebody should only include basic information. On most sites there is no need whatsoever for an address, phone number, or last name.

Online I can be found here on Blogger and also on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Yahoo, AIM, and Epals.mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108788603147286763.post-51413214521010630332009-10-28T09:08:00.000-07:002009-10-28T09:16:45.473-07:00ENGLISH!
<---- click image to make it bigger!mariahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15991102621751456487noreply@blogger.com0
